Cherries add a great depth of flavour to a warming liquor like Bourbon. This cocktail is no exception. I like to use amareno cherries in syrup but fresh cherries work well if in season.
- 2 oz Slurp Tart Cherry mix
- 2 oz Bourbon
- 1-2 cherries, amareno in syrup or fresh and pitted
- Lemon slice for garnish, optional
- Muddle together the cherries, mix and bourbon.
- Strain into a lowball glass with ice.
- Garnish with a lemon slice, if desired.
